I had to get hearing aids last month and these are Bluetooth connected to
my iPhone 8. There is an app I can use to control its features, but iOS
also has Accessibility native support for hearing aids. In order to use iOS
you triple-click the Home button to bring up the menu and then you can
change hearing profiles and volume. The advantage of using iOS native
support is that the connection is instantaneous. If using the app you have
to wait for the Bluetooth to connect to the app. How do you do this in an
iPhone without a Home button?

iOS also supports Voice and Music streaming to the hearing aids. I don’t
use those features but I’ve tested them. Does Android have native support
similar to this? The manual for my hearing aids only mentioned iOS native
support.

Is that the same as the Lock button?

The Control Center shortcut doesn’t do the same thing. It just brings up
the Accessibility settings.
